Outdoor Pursuits

Students interested in taking advantage of Keuka’s beautiful campus can enjoy a variety of leisure and recreational activities. Students can build bonfires, go swimming and boating, play touch football, or toss around a frisbee on Keuka’s expansive lawn and waterfront properties.

In addition to the campus green, the lake offers a scenic view for walkers, joggers and cyclists while traveling lakeside roads. A short distance away from the College are several state parks with campsites and trails for biking and hiking, along with the well-manicured, public Lakeside Country Club that offers 18 challenging holes for golfers.

In nearby Penn Yan, students, faculty and staff can participate in go-cart racing, miniature golf, bowling, apple picking, wine tastings, and much more.

With Rochester, Syracuse, and Corning in close proximity, there are countless opportunities to explore the outdoors. Keuka’s Adventure Club often teams with the Office of Campus Recreation to plan trips to go white-water rafting, rock climbing, skiing and snowboarding, camping, and hiking, among others.
