Residence life staff also works with students to create a living and learning environment that:
Residence life staff includes the director of housing and residence life, and residence directors and resident assistants for each building.
The director of housing and residence life is responsible for the administration of the campus-wide residence life program, including supervising the residence life staff and coordinating all housing placements.
Each residence hall is staffed by a residence director (RD), who are professional staff members that reside in the residence halls. The RDs are the direct supervisors for student staff members and responsible for maintaining the safety and learning environment within their building.
Resident assistants (RAs) are student members of the residence life staff who supervise a residential area (hall or floor). Each residence assistant is trained to ensure that the guidelines for residential living are maintained and that the residential environment is conducive to meeting the living/learning needs of students.
