Members of the College community appreciate, respect, and celebrate diversity in all forms, thereby creating an inclusive environment that founder Rev. George Harvey Ball alluded to when
he announced his goal was “to create a college for all deserving students,
regardless of background.”
The Office of Multicultural Affairs, located in Dahlstrom Student Center, coordinates events and programs that enhance the College’s diversity education efforts and support students from all backgrounds. In addition, our office works to enhance the College’s efforts to recruit and retain historically under-represented groups of students.
Trips, speakers, and social programs are among the events listed on the office’s calendar as it works toward providing programs aimed at supporting students of diverse backgrounds.
The office also advises six student organizations: The Multicultural Student Association (MSA), P.R.I.D.E., The LGBTA Resource Center, KC Steppers, H.E.R.O, and the Women’s Center Resource Group. These organizations work to promote the College’s diversity philosophy, and are committed to the values and ideals of human dignity, equality, autonomy, and ethical conduct.
