Student Senate

Student Senate, the governing body of the Student Association, consists of members elected by the students with representatives from each class, residence hall, and the commuter student population.

Student Senate is led by an executive board consisting of a student president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer who are all elected by their peers. Senate elections are held in the spring or early fall for most positions.

Senate Meetings

The Senate meets every Monday at 7 p.m. in the Gannett Room (inside Lightner Library). Meetings are open to the entire student body.

If you would like to be added to the agenda, please e-mail senate@keuka.edu at least two weeks prior to the meeting you wish to speak at.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to contact any of the 18 senators on campus.

Responsibilities of Your Student Senate

• Serve as an official voice for the expression of student opinion.
• Sponsor social activities on campus.
• Control financial matters related to the student activities fee.
• Maintain a positive relationship between Student Senate and its affiliated clubs and organizations.
